My usual randomness

You may remember I'm kinda addicted to
I don't do Facebook, but I hop on Twitter a bit and I pin. A lot. There's just somethin cool about pinning... Anyway, earlier I was perusing my pins to find a new somethin-somethin for dinner for next week.

I was distracted by this little treasure -

Doesn't it look just divine?! Me loves the lemony stuff. Here's the link to it if you're into lemon, too ~ Warm Lemon Pudding Cake recipe
Gotta put a couple of the ingredients on the grocery list for the hub to pick up tomoreo! I'll be sure to report back to ya about how it comes out.

Last week I made this here Extreme Lemon Bundt Cake and it turned out purdy good. I added a glaze to it whilest it was warm though (orange juice, lemon juice & confectioners sugar). I took it to work to share. Cuz I'm nice like that. And it was a hit. But I like my orange pound cake bettuh. I'll make that sometime and post a pic and the recipe. It's tasty yums. A tummy yummy ya might say.

But seriously. Don't you get tired of the same ole-same ole? I feel like we kinda get in a dinner rut. If you have a fave go to recipe for dinner, send it my way. Hurry! Before we starve over here.

Cell phones have become kinda a necessity, haven't they? I text on mine waaaay more than I talk on it. But anyway. The other night I had gone for a run and of course got all sweaty. So I started my bath water (complete with epsom salts) and laid a towel on the side of the tub. For some dumb reason, I plopped my cell phone on the towel. Well, the phone apparently wanted to go for a dip in the pool, er tub. Oopsy! I grabbed it right out and started the drying process. Thankfully it still works. Verizon says no upgrades til August 30th. So we wait. Ever so patiently. Have I mentioned I HATE my phone? I've hated it since day one. I'm counting the days til I can get an iPhone. I've been pining for one for about a year. But I refuse to pay full price. Verizon already gets too much of my $

Moving on. . .

Do you ever feel like your hair looks terrible and then get compliments on it? Happened to me the last couple weeks. What's up with that? Or I get the "your hair always looks good" comment. Um no. Stop your lying. You're just being nice (or perhaps fake). Really. Come on now.

Ever feel a smidge plump and have someone tell you "you're looking especially thin these days?" Happened to me today. I'll take that one, even if it is fake or just niceness. Bring it on!

I don't think I told ya the other night we went to see The Hunger Games. I had read the book (and loved it). As usual, the book was better, but I will say they did a pretty darn good job with the movie. Even if you haven't read the book, it's a good flick. The hub liked it. And he doesn't read books. Ever.

Do you ever LIVE FOR THE WEEKEND? Um, I do.

One more day.

How we do Mother's Day

Mother's Day kinda started for us on Saturday, or Mother's Day Eve ya might say. :-P

Saturday morning I took Mom to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Big shock, right? But the Barrel has the best breakfast. I've always thought that. After chowin down we did a bit of shopping. We <3 Ross and Mom needed a new coffee pot so thank ya Target for comin through for us.

Saturday night we went to a local catfish joint with Anthony's mom, stepdad & sis . It was yummy! And we laughed and carried on so much at the dinner table I bet the people around us thought we were crazy. It was just one of those nights.

Sunday morning I text my mom "Happy Mother's Day" cuz she was at a faraway church where Dad started a revival.

These two little coots were at church with us though. And that made me :o)
I may not be a mom, but I'm a pretty darn good AUNT!

It's always a big debate about who's gonna sit by who. Kerby always wants the seat by Anthony. I guess it's a guy thing. Kerlandy usually wants to be with me. I'm down with that.

During church Kerlandy put chapstick on her baby doll's lips. And lotion on her little plastic arms. 2 cute. 2 funny.
She also kept her arm around me during most of worship time. 2 sweet.

Sunday night we headed out to the faraway church to hear Dad preach at the revival. It was really good.

And we brought Mom home. School's not out yet and those kiddos hafta eat, so she's gotta work.

Me and my mom
I am so blessed!
